What century would you like to travel to?
Norman 7 February, 2008, 18:05 I would like to travel back to the early through mid or latter 20th century. I would like to correct a few mistakes I made, and see the WW2 through Cold War era.

Atheist 7 February, 2008, 22:27 Since Jesus Christ is nothing but a figment of imagination, you are highly likely to mee very real nasty brutal Roman legionnaires instead. Bon chance

The Intrepid T.T. 8 February, 2008, 05:46 My target date - easily the early 19th century - during the life and times of Catherine II, the Great, who was a German princess who married Peter III, the German heir to the Russian crown. She contributed to the resurgence of the Russian nobility! Why?? - because the Russian Empire was the greatest, noblest and one of the mightiest the world has ever seen or probably will! I can imagine being one of the courtiers in her court or a general in the army, even a glimpse of the luxury, the power and her noble self would be enough! One thing I would change?? - Make the army and the system so strong, so that this could never come down, one of the greatest TRAGEDIES OF HISTORY - The downfall of the "GREAT RUSSIAN EMPIRE"!

Greg 8 February, 2008, 07:22 I would like to travel back to the Napoleonic era. Back when our ancestors in the West actually had spines and weren't bloated on 60's decadent consumerism and drugs. Or maybe the generation fo WW2. We don't even come up to their ankles interms of spiritual height. Everyone in Bruxelles can pat themselves on the back over coffee and biscuits but they are just pen pushers and interest groups. You don't build anything on sand and hot air. That will not make good cement.

Sevodnya_Net 8 February, 2008, 10:24 I think I'd like to visit 15th century England. I'd be quite interested in witnessing (from a safe distance!) one of the battles of the Wars of the Roses and to find out what life was like in medieval times. I also quite fancy a trip back to ancient Egypt, and going further back, maybe a "dinosaur" safari. The closest we come to that these days is comeback concerts by such as Led Zeppelin .

Dim 8 February, 2008, 12:26 There is no sense in travelling to the future, because all the acheivements of humanty will obviously be of a technological origin. It is unlikely that the environment will get better. Psychology of people on a large scale is predictable but the world is in the power of money and not the common sense. I don't want to. The high level of consciousness here and now. This is what I want. However, I wouldn't have refused visiting the epoque of dinosaurs and the great times of Eastern Roman Empire(flowering period).

Sam 4 March, 2008, 08:14 Matthew nice plan but remember not to take the titanic:) reading all the posts, made me remember the paradox theory.Dont you think that if we do start travelling in time that we will alter the future? Or like someone once said that you cannt alter the future. For example, say you travel in time to kill your grandfather so that you are never born. The fact that you are making that journey alone is prove that you failed in your attempt before you even started. How do others feel about the paradox theory?

Patriot 10 March, 2008, 17:51 The time of the Vikings, 800-1200 AD maybe 1200 AD. Their exploration of the known world and settlement and economic development (trading) along the great rivers of Europe was phenomenal considering the size of their combined populations. Known as the Rus in your neck of the woods they did a lot to force Europe out of the dark ages and the dogma of the church. Their Warrior culture and blond hair is evident throughout Europe yet today. Oh, by the way, it was during this 400 year time frame of Global Warming that gave them the opportunity to colonize the inhospitable lands of Greenland, and the like. We are brothers after all.

Sonobe 13 March, 2008, 03:02 I think it would be near impossible for safe time-travel, but here it goes. First, I would love to go back to China with the Red Army during the 30's and 40's and see the founding the modern country and if it is anything like Edgar Snow described it. Frankly, I am a mild history nut and would give my left hand to be able to see history in the making first hand. But there are times that I would rather not go to like the time of the Spanish Inquisition.
