Drug testing in schools: will it make a difference?

Yes i think it would make a difference. If tou drug test in the school it will keep drugs not only from the kids but it would also help keep it out of the schools. I think sports players should be drug tested any how. If you have a kid that starts both sides of the ball that is on drugs he should be kicked off the team and let one of the kids who dont't play and is drug free play.
I think that drug testing in schools will defiantly make a difference. It envokes positive peer pressure; the kind that allows kids to say no to drugs. If everyone is scared of being caught with drugs in their system, then they wont be so likely to do the drugs in the first place.
I also think that it shouldn't just be athelets who are tested. I think all students should be tested, because most kids are smart enough to avoid sports in order to avoid the testing. If the tests are done on all students, whether they are involved in sports or not, then no one will be able to 'hide' from the tests.
i think that if schools were to have random drug testings, more positive effects would come than any negitive effects. this would help keep our schools safe, and have more aware parents.
I think they should be strip searched and if they protest they must be hiding something so it should be internal, teachers should be issued with automatic weapons and tasers for those not paying attention and students must pass through high powered X ray detectors, have thier internet access monitored and i think it would be a good idea to have them tagged with radio location chips... just to be on the safe side !!!!
