Margo 9 August, 2007, 10:07 One more "false flag" to mess around with Russia? Georgia has had good teachers.

Dino 9 August, 2007, 12:48 The UN has proven time and time again. it can't do anything RIGHT! What a waste of time to go to the UN! I laughed when the Russian Air Forced denied that they had dropped the bomb. Last time I heard bombs don't have legs, it just didn't walk to its current resting place.sheesh!

R in R 9 August, 2007, 13:30 Georgia is getting boring. and all those moves - that's yesterday, and -stupid. Dino, bombs don't have legs (good job on keeping us all informed on such great details of life) -but it seems you are forgetting that there are several options possible. Yet you always choose to get stuck on one and - die for it. You jump to conclusions ever so quickly. It's almost like - "I've made my decisions - don't confuse me with facts". It's useless to talk and really a waste of time, words and energy to argue. Sorry.

kristine 9 August, 2007, 14:41 The only good news about Russia is that they are dying by their thousands to be precise 750 000 a year without being replaced by a new generation. In 2040 there will be 90 mil Russians, 400 million americans and about 400 millions Europeans. By the way, where are you going to put your flag this time? Try all goulags - your own home made death camps - still operational. It is OK if you kill your own people. It is your choice, but keep away from other countries, including Georgia. Shouldn't you start learning chinese pretty soon???

Dino 9 August, 2007, 17:34 Again "R in R".Give me an Example? Lets Debate! The only Country with an Air Force in that Area is hmmmm let me see "RUSSIA" or maybe it was an alien from outer space that dropped the bomb?

vencor 9 August, 2007, 18:43 Georgia is a state that has one point and one objective of its existence,i.e., somehow or the other with the help of Unca Sam, prevent the LEGITIMATE ASPIRATIONS of some 'independent'regions'and by lackeying upto it by sending more troops to Iraq and other places, when the whole world, somehow protect the Robber Clan of Misha. Frankly its become an embarrasment that such a state even exists on Russia's neighbourhood. The latest contrived situation is an additional BLOT on it's RULER, who is hardly a popular one.

Gashavili 9 August, 2007, 20:17 It cannot. It is a failed instituition, Reforms are long overdue. Has always been and west has kept its eyes closed to it for their own benefit for too long. America has been arrogant and ignorant in handling its external affairs. Russia has been crying loud from rooftops that Georgia is the epicentre of terror with no response and instead gets cold shoulder from west. Georgia is on verge of disaster and its neighbours (including Russia) as well as West are going to pay the price.

Margo 9 August, 2007, 21:48 @Gashavili: If Georgia is on the verge of disaster as you say - and maybe you are right-, who's to blame? What about that US puppet-president whose greatest aim and task is to do anything, I mean anything, to damage Russia, instead of thinking of what is really best for his own country? To me, it looks like he doesn't give a damn about Georgia as his real country is obviously another one. How can anyone seriously believe that a bomb was dropped by the Russians - and why on earth would they do such a stupid thing?! - in a situation like this? There is nothing easier than planting a bomb in some field and say that your enemy has dropped it. The whole story stinks.

Margo 9 August, 2007, 21:57 @ Dino There is no blind so blind as the one who doesn't want to see. Or so they say. Judging by your previous comments, you have your mind set up a priori, so what's the use of debating with you? You have no doubts whatsoever, the Russians are evil, they always do something nasty, and so on and so on. You just keep repeating what the most trivial anti-Russian media say, nagging all around and about. That's really boring.

Margo 9 August, 2007, 22:09 @ Kristine Perhaps if there weren't 27 million or so war dead who fought against the nazis (whom the Baltic regions admire so much) there might be more Russians around in the present day. Today's Russia has taken in the best and the worst of the capitalism so what do you expect? In Italy the population growth is zero. Is that because there were concentration camps there too??

Sullivan 9 August, 2007, 22:22 From the vitriol written by kristine, I can only assume that she hails from one of those pathetic so-called 'Baltic Republics' that openly and unashamedly practice discrimination against their Russian minorities. This is despite being members of the EU, which apparent prohibits such discrimination. Perhaps kristine's sympathies lie with the ideologies of the former German National Socialist Party, ideologies that seem to continue to have a resonance with the populations of Baltic nations. Kristine, your anti-Russian hysteria has been noted here on RT several times. Also notable is the lack of any substantive allegations against modern-day Russia that might at give your rabid prejudices some level of credibility. You just hate for the sake of hating, it seems.

Margo 9 August, 2007, 22:35 @ Kristine By the way, your comment is incredibly and blatantly racist. On a less democratic forum it would have been rejected. That shows that these "bad" Russians are very tolerant people, after all. If people tried to understand each other instead of hating and fighting, wouldn't that make the world a better place to live in? :-) Pax vobiscum!

salman 10 August, 2007, 00:41 I think this is a game that is verry dangerouis and should not be played on russias expense.the russians have proven over and over again that they choose peace and stability upon its neighbors and plays a very constructive role in the u.n peace keeping missions.

R in R 10 August, 2007, 01:52 @Dino – it’s useless to debate with you – there is not point. You are hell-bent on yr opinions and you don’t want to listen to anyone else. So, why do I need to waste my time on talking to someone who won’t be listening? But just for the sake of answering a question – ever thought that it could be a provocation by Georgia itself or whoever is lining up with them to provoke Russia to any sort of actions for whatever reason yet unknown? There’re quite a few reasons now to suspect that… So, leave yr sarcasm and narrow-mindedness to yourself. And as Margo said – it’s all getting booooring.

R in R 10 August, 2007, 01:58 @kristine. wow.are you and Dino in any way related? I'm appaled. Your comment is extremely racist and FAR from being democratic (though i bet u r from a country that prides itself on attempts of becoming such). Your comment about flag is plainly stupid. Any pioneer-explorer left their flags when they reached a place noone ever reached before. So, that sarcasm was out of place. As for Russia dying out and not being replaced by a new generation - that's just pure ignorance. Then why do we have so many pregnant women and young moms with a lot of kids in the streets? com'on - get a life and a better grasp of reality!

Al 10 August, 2007, 02:25 Dino and Kristine are trolls, simple as that. I think Sullivan is pretty close to the target. As for this bomb thing there are many ways in which it could have went down. I read it was because an SU-24 dropped it's load for some reason. I have also seen pictures of the scene and frankly the hole is quite small. No larger than half a stick of dynamite would make, or possibly something landing after falling for a long ways. If it was a bomb it was not targeted at anything in particular. I think this is just a way for Geogia to get more attention for whatever reason. Think people, planes stray over borders all of the time. This is not really unusual.

Dino 10 August, 2007, 03:06 I have never seen so many "Clones" who can't think for themselves. "R in R" talk about being closed minded WTF? All my posts are backed up by the FACTS! Give me examples of where I'm WRONG? You can't, I challenge you all to an honest debate on my posts to PROVE I'm wrong. When you stoop to name calling it demonstrates your 3rd world ignorance. [edited out. the 'stop calling names' rule applies to all - RT] It's easy to "blame" the other guy.Its HARD to take personal responsibility! You all choose the EASY road!

John 10 August, 2007, 11:18 Georgia claims Russia bombed them and are looking for surport from the west Russia disputes this claim. Now the missile never exploded so using this vital evidence Georgia could have proved its case instead they blow it up,sorry Georgia your claim has a bad smell to it.

George 10 August, 2007, 14:01 Even do Georgia has been very provocative with its actions against Russia ever since Saakashvili came to power, this incident seems that a Russian plane droped the bomb, propably by acident, and they are trying to cover it up, in the end the true will be found out,.Russia has nothing to gain from an escalation of violence in the region with Sochi just being over the border ( its were the olympics will take place).

Sullivan 10 August, 2007, 15:56 Dino, you appear to be confusing your own personal and no doubt deeply held opinions, with cold, hard facts. No matter how many times I re-read your contributions, they inevitably come up strong on opinion and very weak on facts. Making simplistic statements like 'bombs do not have legs' is not a debating tactic - it is obvious to all that they do not, but it is also obvious to anyone with a modicum of intelligence that a bomb can come from one any number of sources. Your claim that the only country with an air-force in the area is Russia is laughable, and is not even worth debating because it is simply WRONG. If Georgia has no air force, as you appear to be claiming, please enlighten us as to what they did with the 100 or so aircraft transferred to them in May 1992 as part of an agreement between CIS leaders? Also you appear to have forgotten that one nation, a master of false flags, has bases dotted all over the region. You'll have to try harder. Much harder.
