Proud at not being from a country that preaches to others who have a legitimate security threat posed to them by America's nuclear weapons,when america are the only ones to have annihalated civilians with nukes. Proud not to be from a country that preaches about how it "spreads" "democracy", while at the same time propping up dictatarioal regimes, the list goes on. Yes, hypocrite is one thing america is, and you're proud to be from this "hypocritical" country, I'm happy for you!

I was fortunate to serve my country and I am glad that I live in a nation where anybody can be successful when they reach our shores and want to be legally part of our society. I have many foreign friends that came here searching for a better life for them and their families. I can't believe you said those horrible things about our country. We should brand you a "traitor" and put you in a prison for about 20 years. Wait, I forgot that we do not do that in the USA do we? Definitely something to think about. I spoke to her for a long time! I am full of awe and wonder at how fast SOMEONE'S prayer was heard. I am really baffled and glad because now a window of hope is open for our family. I will comment soon(I have to make breakfast-this morning we will have bulgar wheat with honey and milk, maybe some eggs(I wish we could ship some to Gaza or Iraq,etc, but as you say, prayers can be strong, too.) DD 26 January, 2009, 22:38 The EU will not insist for a international investigation into war crimes committed by the Israeli army! With this news "the west" is showing his evil nazi face once again. Probably under US-Israeli pressure Europe shows again his cowardly attitude when it comes to human rights. The deliberate killing of over 1000 civilians, several UN buildings, media... wasn't enough for Europe to demand an external ivestigation into these crimes! What does that tell us? The Palestinians are considered as inferior humans, not even worthy for an investigation. The same goes for crimes committed against Serbians, Ossetians. Then we wonder why they hate us? I just hope those people understand we are not all the same... It's time for a new world order to be created, stripping them who call themselves "the west" from their privileges. Because over all those years we saw nothing but abuse of power, selective punishment or rewarding by those who preach about democracy and freedom. This needs to finish quickly, unless we want another useless war somewhere, where only the poor will suffer as always.

It consists of many cults and occult teachings that could fill many books. All of them oppose Jesus Christ and are friendly to either ancient deities or Lucifer and his demons. CNN recently reported that the murder of a black American exchange student in Russia was also a hate crime. Unfortunately, ignorance is common to all countries. Over the past several years, I have seen numerous stories about European countries (Germany, Turkey, France, U.K) either contemplating or outlawing the wearing of turbans or head dresses by students. To me this is ludicrous and a violation of human rights and freedom and I hope unheard of in the U.S.. Sam, you stated that Europeans are better educated and well travelled than most Americans. That in itself shows a certain amount of ignorance and arrogance. Sure, there are a few countries in western Europe that outrank the U.S. per capita in travel, but U.S. still ranks high up there in tourism expenditures. See the chart below. Over the past decade, I had the opportunity to travel to the U.K, France, Germany, Luxumbourg, Amsterdam, etc. I always thought that the U.S. was the only country made up of people from all around the world. I was kind of surprised to see that at least some of the bigger cities, like London, Amsterdam, and Paris were also huge metling pots of people. Look at the 2008 Olympics, it's getting harder and harder to tell where a person is from by just looking at them. It just happens that a crucifix or a Star of David is much easier to conceal under your uniforms then is a turban or Hijab and that’s why they came to your attention. This can be exemplified by a court ruling in favour of the British airways. Where Nadia Eweida lost her case to allow her to wear her Cross in plain view of her uniform. The Court ruled that it was not a violation of her human rights. So I do not see what point you are trying to make with this one. Now travel, yes I saw you figure of tourism by country. Tourists also include internal tourists. It is common knowledge that the Americans mostly go on holidays in America. Outside the USA their common destinations are Mexico, NZ, Australia, France and the UK. From the list of countries you said you had been to, it seems that it is true. Had anyone noticed something about these countries? Sam, I get your point that there was a rise in attacks against Sikh's by some ignorant Americans after 9/11, just because they wear turbans and look Middle Eastern. However, my point is "all" racially motivated attacks are based on ignorance. To hate somebody just because of the color of their skin, their religion, the way they dress, gender, is ignorance at it's best. Attacks against Arabs and Muslims in the U.S. is not much different than ignorant attacks against Sikhs. We can't treat any of them like a terrorist. I saw some statistics that racial attacks against Sikhs, Arabs and Muslims were about 80 per year in the U.S. during the 1980's, compared to about 130 per year now. So there has been an increase since 9/11. For a country of 350 million, this is still a relatively low number. I understand that about a half million Sikh's also now live in the U.S.. You also need to be careful to differentiate real crimes versus hate crimes. A lot of immigrants from other countries start out living and working in bad neigborhoods and become victims of crimes. For example, I live near Cincinnati, Ohio. Shortly after 9/11 an Arab American was murdered, when his market in a bad part of town was robbed. That was not a racially motivated crime, even though some people may think so. As far as I know, the only Sikh killed due to a hate crime after 9/11 was in Arizona and it made front page news because it was so shocking, especially or even to Americans. Sam, the chart I showed you was "international" tourism, so that doesn't include Americans traveling within the U.S.. You may also find the following map interesting, which shows tourism destinations. That's like Americans traveling from one state to another. Also, I would venture to say that most people no matter where they are from, travel where it is safe, where there is some natural wonder, some historical significance, where there are warm beaches (which probably explains Thailand), or visit relatives. There are a lot of people living in the U.S . who are either 1st or 2nd generation Asian, Middle Eastern, African, South American; so a lot of these people probably occasionally travel back to their homelands. Also, it's my experience that most Americans, when they travel abroad don't eat at places like McDonalds, go to the movies, or to the mall, when they can easily experience these things at home.

All the similar figures I ran into states that they are for tourism per country not specifying international only and therefore the total.
