Afghan deadline pushed back

October 04, 2011 10:23

The commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan says the 2014 withdrawal deadline will not be observed. The White House had originally said it would start the pull-out in July 2011 with the aim of removing all but non-combat personnel by 2014.

Perhaps all you whining anti-Americans and you Ruskies might want to enlighten us about the losing war that the USSR fought in Afghanistan.

So what has one to do with the other? Besides, the Soviets ADMITTED that the war in Afghanistan was a mistake and they pulled out. They didn't 'lose' either, having under control every major population center until the end. It wasn't like Vietnam where the US negotiated a political settlement that handed victory to the North Vietnamese as they all along wanted the US to leave. In Afghanistan, the Soviets left of their own will without any deal with the Mujaheddin.  It just got too costly to stay what with the civil wars and general breakup in the various Soviet republics at the time.
In contrast the US doesn't admit that the war is bad and doesn't want to leave ever it seems.

So again, what has a snide remark about the Soviet war in Afghanistan got to do with justifying the brutal US occupation?

The leadership of the U.S.A. and NATO forces like to fool the leadership in the South Asia.   It is too bad that NATO needs to save his money to spend war in the Afghanistan because those people will fight to the their end.

Make sure that U.S.A. and NATO need to have a lot of money and weapons to fight the war in the Afghanistan.

This comes as no surprise, because as soon as NATO withdraws all military support, Karzai the druglord who has been funded by the opium farms in his country will be ousted. Iran and Pakistan are heavily involved in subversive operations supporting opposition elements. They just never learnt from the Soviets in Afghanistan nor Vietnam.

And how many time has Pres. Obama lied to the American people about when our troops will come ? Add the lies on his campaign trail on the pull out. Who will sign the surrender when we win ? What will be the spoils of war we win ? Does this mean more jobs lost for our economy because of cheap labor obtained in Afghanistan? The survivors of the innocents [ collateral damage ] killed is there a guarantee they will not become part of a terrorist group ? Are we in over our head ? How can we afford to keep this going ?

Just another excuse for the fascist imperialist gang running the US military to continue its illegal occupation of another country. It is a shame, it is an outrage, it is unacceptable. T he Murderers running the US military need to face a true world tribunal and need to be stopped..The crimes committe d by the US fascist military are well documented; Soon or later another Nurembe rg trial must take place so that the millions of civilians displaced, tortured and killed by the fascist gang running the US military, can get some justice!

What a load of bull. Someone sets a guideline to pull all our troops out, and you blatently ignore it. Troops that have not seen their families, loved ones, friends in months or even years. Fighting a war that does not need to be fought. An army should be protecting its own borders, unless attacked by an outside force.

It does not take a rocket scientist to tell us that the longer the troops stay in the war zones the fewer will come back home. The US has not been able to accommodate the returned troops into its main society. Many of them are among the homeless in big cities. Just put 2 and 2 together and you know the answer.

Of course, the US-NATO Axis plans to be in Afghanistan a long time. Once this Axis sank her fangs into Afghanistan, it was just a matter of time before an announcement would be made that they will not be pulled out.
Unlike, 1939, there is no one today that would confront the war lust of the US-NATO Axis.

Pullout will take place on whichever date comes first: 1. The Military decides for the American People when they should leave Afghanistan or 2. Sea level rise due to global warming inundates Afghanistan.  [so they think]  Any  other questions  America?
