Another possible Ukrainian arms shipment seized

Nigerian special services have seized a plane reportedly carrying arms from Ukraine to Equatorial Guinea.

Thailand’s Prosecutor’s office has dropped charges against the crew members of a plane illegally transporting arms from North Korea to Ukraine. The plane was seized at the end of last year as it was refueling in Bangkok.
The 21-year-old crew member of Faina vessel was expelled from Naval Academy in the Ukrainian city of Odessa while he was held hostage by Somali pirates, Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reports.
All the pirates who seized the Ukrainian cargo-vesel Faina around five months ago have now left. They reportedly received a record ransom payment of more than 3 million dollars for giving up the ship.
Russian heavy missile cruiser Peter the Great has stopped three small pirate ships off the coast of Somalia. Ten pirates – all of them Somali citizens – have been detained.
