According to the 'Muricans here, it was the FSA who orchestrated the Chemical Weapons attack, but Assad is basically confirming it was him, now you understand you are idiots? Ignorance is not bliss.

More details, please, on your "scoop" that Assad confesses. I expect that you've been drinking Charlie Rose's Kool Aid.

The US-Russia deal is a win-win situation for all. It has the prospect of saving Syria and the middle-east from chemical weapons. A UN inquiry still needs to verify and bring to justice for those who did the gassing on August 21. American force, no doubt, is a great stabilizer of peace in the troubled spots of the world when diplomacy fails.

The problem is that the troubled spots of the world result from great American covert destabilizing efforts(soper)... Iran in 1953? Checkout Genocide and Covert Operations In Africa, 1993-1999 by journalist Wayne Madsen

"Assad: Syria to hand over chem arms in 1 month, only if US drops strike plans" Just like President V. Putin said. Now what do we have from the Kerry and Russia's talked in UN, Geneva? Is Kerry sincere enough and respect the Russia? He said some thing about Russian Foreign Minister could be a Senator, what does it mean? May be something wrong to my hearing.

Whatever I have posted does not mean Assad is a saint. So many famous leaders made mistakes, no one is perfect.

Is there any replacement of Assad? Is White House looking for a puppet to run Syria?

@Derek Willims,

An d it's fine too as long as Obama stops supplying arms to Israel plus US$3 billion per year of American taxpayers' money and stops supplying arms to the murderous jihadist terrorists.

And note Mr Putin is now a leader of the free world and a peacemaker.

According to Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy and associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, Obama is now "the leader of a rogue, lawless, unaccountable government committed to lies and war crimes".

That's fine - so long as Russia stops supplying arms to HIM.

what about arms supplied to another HIM (Netanjahu)?

David Hilton 13.09.2013 19:08

I hope Mr Putin and Mr Lavrov can make Kerry see sense and drop his continued threat of force, it`s only making things worse.
These weapons are now a liability to Assad, he`s better off without them, but if America is determined to launch an attack on him as Kerry wants, Assad may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb and use the weapons he`s got to exterminate the rebels, what`s he got to lose ?.
Of course all this conjecture is falling on deaf ears with Kerry, his job is to start a war, the question is, who pays his salary ?.
