yeah, I remember some of it, and I'm not saniyg Duff or Seaton are spot on or anything. It is an interesting idea, no less, to ponder the cui bono with regard to detailed information about US war crimes. See for instance this reaction: I can't help wondering how the international community would have reacted had Israel been accused of similar actions. Many people, at the moment, are focused on the question of whether the documents should have been leaked, entirely skirting the implications of what they actually say; the American administration is currently busy brushing off responsibility, emphasising that this was all under George W's watch. Because yes, this stuff has been going on for years with hardly anyone showing any concern at all; for all the Guardian's fury now, it has taken it years to work itself into this lather of righteous indignation. The numbers were there ages ago, if only they had wanted to see them.Meanwhile, Israel is being put through investigation after investigation following Operation Cast Lead and the flotilla affair forced to answer for every civilian killed under its watch. Funny that. I don't think the next leak will be any different. Revelations of corruption, hypocrisy and shady dealings etc among world leaders will not shock many people any more than civilian deaths caused by US military operations. The US army is not the Bundeswehr, and the American public not the German public. All you need to remember is last March when opinions were sharply divided about who spat in whose face re the settlements and back door treatment during Netanyhau's visit in Washington. Speaking of newly released docs:

Bad news for Assange (unregistered) 01.07.2012 22:32

The website of the Government of Ecuador in Quito has removed all the positive press reviews and videos and interviews they had about Assange which I carefully studied. They did have a positive stance to him, but somebody has forced them to change that. The fact that they have removed all supporting statements from politicians like the Foreign Affairs Minister Patiño is clearly saying they are preparing to release bad news.

ASSANGE was given some material which he published. He then passed this information for publication by the NEW YORK TIMES GUARDIAN and DER SPIEGEL. So if ASSANGE guilty of espionage
They are making it up as they go along.Assange has appaerantly already been found guilty of espionage while in reality he has not been charged with anything.Amazing.

George Orwell 1984: IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH * WAR IS PEACE * FREEDOM IS SLAVERY....those di ktats appeared in 2012. Enforced ignorance of the masses makes us all fools. War is peace equals big business for corporations. Freedom or democracy is now an empty promise and used to enslave the great unwashed. The truth now outlawed in the West and WIKILEAKS showed us the extent of the rot...thats why they want him dead or alive.

Truth is a dangerous thing these days. It's much safer to stay dumbed down.

I'm rather disappointed with RT readers today. Only 15 dislikes for my comment. I need at least a hundred on here each time to reassure myself that I'm still sane.

The guy divulges state secrets and defends himself by saying that NO state should have ANY secrets.  What government wouldn't want to welcome and protect such a person?  Perhaps one day he will publish their secrets too.

grow up assnge fans.  The guys is bad for everyone.  He is the type that makes leaders mad at each other and ends up costing lives.

DON'T DO IT JULIAN ..... IT'S A TRICK.    If you did 500plus days before .....    it would be just  "a walk in the park"   to do it again in the embassy.....    just give the US some time to get off their obsession for you....    you're on the court and you have the ball.   just remember that.       All your supporters are praying and hoping that something good will turn up.

Julian Assange is right to refuse police request to surrender because he has not been charged with anything to surrender for as no formal  charges have been made against him. In the circumstances the extradition thing is illegal, and politicaaly motivated  Julian is a true political prisoner, his only crime being to expose the truth.  Every honest country in the world should be offering this man refuge in their country. Interesting isn't it that the foundations of the justice system is to tell the truth and nothing but the truth,but when someone like Julian  does tell the truth they (he) are (is) treated like the criminal and the liars are treated like the victim.  Stay strong Julian we are all you and we are all with you.

It says there are  41 comments but we can't see any more than 4 & this *** has been going on for days! &5;

As I said, I don't trust Ecuador. They claim to have sovereignity, but they are too afraid to prove it. We will see how courageous they are, but the fact that they are "thinking about it" is because they fear political or economic sanctions.
