I think what needs to happen is the establishment of universal democratic laws around the world that protect the rights and freedoms of us all as equal individuals.

People have said
'the U.S would have to promise Sweden or any NON-DEALTH penalty nation that they are not going to kill him' ...

The US. may not kill him, NO - if they can't kill him, they will just lock him up in a tiny gray room 24/7 for the rest of his life.

The world media is playing everyone for fools over Assange. Fact is; No abolitionist country will extradite a person (regardless of crime) to the USA if there is the slightest chance of the person being sentenced to death. Under every abolitionist country's extradition act, a person cannot be deported to a retentionist country to face prosecution on a capital charge without a prior written guarantee that the person will not be sentenced to death. Before deportation, there must be an assurance the death penalty will not be imposed. The extradition laws reflect abolitionist countries bipartisan opposition to the death penalty.

Why does Sarah Firth always say 'bought' instead of 'brought'? Bought = to buy. Brought = to bring. Come on Sarah, up your game!

Can't wait to see this guy behind bars he is such a pain in the ar.. and has been in the media far too long.  Frankly still do not understand why RT has tried to turn him into some kind of  VIP when he is just a whistle blower who stabs the people who help him in the back!

Ecuador's Rafael Correa has guts! This is an opportunity to show the world that he stands on principle and walks his talk by protecting a journalist, a publisher whose motto is 'Justice of Transparency'.If anything were to happen to Julian Assange, it could well ignite a Western Spring, something the authorities would surely like to avoid.Safe passage to Ecuador! One thing is for sure, tourism to that part of the world will skyrocket, the moment asylum has been granted. Dependence on US funding can wane.Thank you to all those who put up bail, provided legal assistance pro bono, or assisted in other ways. The truth, nothing but the truth shall prevail!

Unbelievable which kind of puppet "government" is Swedish government.

Those Swedish creatures “preaching democracy and humanity", but just for others. On the MASTERS wink (US Zionists) - the S "government" - follows.
And now, this S-puppet-government  “calling on discussion”. Of course, strange enough -  “rape” in Sweden is “sex without condom”!!!   S-Puppets did not think about reputation. These have none! They did not think that “discussion” can be made in GB too. No… The MASTERS commanded (!!!) deportation, and puppet S- “government” ju st FOLLOW!!! Even if there is common FACT that those two “girls” were CIA agents before! Even if first attorney decided that – there is “NO REASON for prosecution at all!!!!!”   In Sweden is enormous pressure of US-propaganda, and NOBAODY dare to talk about this embarrassment openly! Disgustin g.

This is called Western 'DEMOCRAPY'. See but dont talk or reveal; confuse the commoners with stories about Royal parties and royal fashion while the banksters are busy looting the economy blind, declare austerity in weaker western nations and invade ME and Africa for their resources while the military complex produces weapons of mass desrtuction used to destroy nations and for the Mannings and Assanges See but dont reveal the truth. Thats Democrapy in action.
