By what other way do you suggest they inflame public opinion?Inflaming public opinion is clearly the aim of the exersice.

@Geronimo ..  Perhaps they know they don't need to.So what is all this about then.The only person for whom the wikileaks revalations have had any legal consequenses is a private by the name of Manning.I do not remember anybody else being affected by any leak bit if you can enlighten me, please go ahead.All these corruption scandals and war crimes have had zero legal impact on anybody but Manning.

As for the Wiki-Leaks themselves, I think they've changed little.  The reality is the mass populous in most Western Country's is still busy with idiotbook/sport/p*rn /i-whatevers to care enough.  We are prepared to let those in power get away with (sometimes literal) murder time and again.  The BBC did a two-parter on Wikileaks a few weeks ago. It concentrated only on a few diplomatic cables which were a bit embarrassing but little more. No-one was 'killed' in the programmes, not a mention of any of the really bad stuff such as mentioned earlier in this thread.  
So to sum up the BBC loosely came down on the side of wikileaks, whilst at the same time conveying to the UK public that the goings-on weren't really that bad anyway. Case Closed.It couldn't have been timed to try and take the edge off JA's show ?
