Spring time in Bahrain, but the West is frozen like winter ice. No "democracy" for Bahraini people? The UN sanctions will begin - when? Did Banki Moon go on vacation? Is Mzzz William Clinton screaming "democracy for Bahrain" - ? EU is not calling for UN "peace keepers" to observe the dictatorship's oppression of Bahrain citizens' human rights? Why is Western "media" not reporting these crimes against humanity? Will NATO drop "democracy" bombs onto Bahrain?
You've said it yourself: The West should not intervene in other countries' domestic problems. Maybe they have listened the demands written by RT commentators :) Shouldn't you be cheering because they aren't doing all the things you listed. Or are you a hypocrite?

The reason why I, for one, didn't say anything about the golf tournament is that I didn't know about it. Luckily. It is possible to avoid hearing anything about golf. But it is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE to avoid hearing anything about F1. Even if one wants to avoid it. At least in my country. From every bloody newspaper, magazine, radio station, TV channel, all over on the internet there is a constant flow of F1 news . F1 here. F1 there. F1 everywhere. F1 into my ears. F1 into my eyes. F1 into my mouth. Ad nauseam. And who should we thank for all this advertising? Mr. Ecclestone and his cronies. More food for thought. How do those F1 cars get to Bahrain? Or Brazil? Or Australia? Or USA? And back to Europe? And from Europe again to who knows where? As far as I know by air. The whole circus is being flown accross the globe by big cargo planes. And they surely consume fuel at least as much as a single one-way transatlantic flight.

"But they chose to waste some more fuel driving in circles".
Ind eed they did. But why? Could it be that the more the mankind wastes fuel the more oil-rich countries - or, to be more precise, the leaders of oil-rich countries - get money. The richer and mightier they get. What is the best way to make people to consume more fuel? To promote motor sports. Saudi Arabia is an important friend of the sunni leaders of Bahrain. Saudi Arabia also happens to be the most important oil-producing country in the world. No wonder that the leaders of Bahrain did all they could to make the F1 Grand Pee take place.
I'm sure the major clowns behind the F1 circus, Ecclestone and his precious pets, the drivers, got their fair share from the Saudis. There is nothing in this world that would make them to risk their honey pots. All they are interested in is to receive their milllion salaries after a little Sunday joy ride. And lots of free booze. Plus, of course, the winner gets the chance to show his masculinity by eja...ing in public. Using a bottle of champagne.
I have never valued this lot very high. Now I have lost even the slightest respect.
At least the TV commentators from the western media will have to explain what the smoke and gunshots are that the audience can see and hear in the distance.
Those drivers had the opportunity to make themselves immortal in the eyes of freedom seeking people, without too much effort. But they chose to waste some more fuel driving in circles, instead.
"The F1 drivers themselves have predominantly decided to steer clear
of politics. Reigning world champion Vettel said he would be focusing
on "stuff that really matters – tire temperatures, cars."Formula
One supremo Bernie Ecclestone – who had the power to cancel the race –
went one step further, branding media attention towards the protests “a lot of nonsense.”" Stu ff that really matters... F1 Grand Pee.
