If there was any money to earn there Russia and China would have brought it to the Security Council. Bahrain is just a small country of 600.000 people and not much money to earn that. The business they do with Saudi Arabia is more profitable for them and they do not want to mess that up. While Syria and Iran are economically more interesting. They are nowadays earning pretty much money from Iran and Syria and mainly their arms industry is having its best time.
Don't fool yourself, there is no nobility in international politics. It is all about money. All the super powers are just money prostitutes ;-) IN REPLY: Thanks for responding. Your cynicism may be rooted in some truth. But I would like to think that on occassion countries still act out of some regard for the welfare of others, although it's often hard to see. With regard to the figures you quote, the population of Bahrain is quite small but was it not Stalin who said;  1 death is a tragedy, 1 million deaths a statistic.

What makes the Bahraini royal family better than Assad? Sheikh Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa, spends more time with his head burried in Obamas lap, than caring for his people. Shame on him, may he end up like Gaddafi. My full support is behind the Bahraini people. I hope you wake up and realise how many contradictions you packed into this comment. Gaddafi alone wasn't half useless as most leaders in the Arab world, of course that's changed now. Libya back to being callboys of the United States much like the rest of Arab governments, many are only fit and have the aspiration to serve. You might want to not watch the reactionary news channels that don't allow you to   rationalize beyond good and evil or think for yourself.

It is no secret that the Quds Force (a special unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guard) is active in many Arab countries and their official mission is exporting Iran's Islamic revolution. So, they are seen as the division responsible for extraterritorial operations of the Revolutionary Guard. They are very active in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen. They were on supporting, training, equip ping and financing in Hezbollah and Amal in Lebanon and Al Mehdi Army, Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Badr Brigades, Ketai b Hezbollah in Iraq and Houthis in Yemen where it is known that Hezbollah and the Quds Force did also participate in fighting against the Yemeni army. Those things are conformed. In Syria there are stories of the Quds Force supporting the Syrian army. This still has to be conformed.
Howeve r, I doubt if they are active Bahrain. In Bahrain the demonstrations were very peaceful and did not have military charac teristics like in other countries. So, I do not believe this accusation. I see Bahrain mainly of people demanding equal rights and opportunities. However, you might disagree with me, but I see Syria also as people demanding equal rights and opportunities
Is this answer enough Duncan?

The person who is directing and advising Bahrain Government on Protest and crowd control is the former assistant commissioner for the London Metropolitan Police John Yates.   He resigned from the Metroplolitan Police before an investigation took place on corruption.

Obvsiouly, the mistake is by the protesters who attack police.  This invites tear gas in order to disperse protesters.  So the blame is on the protesters because police must clear the roads.  Secondly, this semi-naked boy is most likely a propaganda stunt.  Yes, im just going to sit on the floor semi-naked and blame the police for it and take a video and post it on the web in order to show the world that I was abused.  Nice try.
