Blast kills child in Tskhinval

A teenager has been killed after a blast ripped through the outskirts of the capital of South Ossetia, Tskhinval. The 13-year-old has reportedly found an unexploded mine which detonated in his hands. The explosive devices might have been left there after
“As I was shepherding my cows, I found a really big hat but left it for a few days. The headwear must have been mined and caused the boy's death. Atsamaz was such a good boy, everybody loved him,” a local said.
Another mine has also been found at the site and there have been reports of other people injured.
Police and investigators are working at the site.
