Blooming miracles appear for first time in 300 years

In the Russian region of Kaliningrad, flowers are blooming in the middle of winter. In the region's botanical gardens, roses have bloomed in December for the first time in 300 years.
Biologists say the flowers, ranging from traditional spring blooms to the subtropical, were confused by an unusually cold summer followed by a warm winter.
And even if temperatures fall below zero, it's thought they might continue to thrive.
