Brand new atomic submarine passes trials

Russia’s most advanced ballistic missile submarine – the Yuri Dolgoruky – has successfully passed its first round of sea trials, according to the shipyard director.
The sub is now returning to its dock in Northern Russia.
The nuclear sub will carry 12 “Bulava” intercontinental ballistic missiles and is capable of firing them from both the surface and submerged positions.
This type of missile has a range of 8,000 kilometers.
The Yuri Dolgorukiy submarine is expected to join the Russian fleet this year.
