In Bulgaria, we know that Russians speak our language but they spoil the written history. Without Bulgaria, there wouldn't have been any Red Square in Moscow and the Russians people would have been called bolsheviks instead. Due to the bravery of Bulgaria, they now speak a slavic language, invented and originating from Bulgarian people. Even Russia's name comes from Rossias Durbash, which in Bulgarian means Red Kingdom Therefore, Russian people owe respect to Bulgarians, and thanks to the Bulgarian fighters, Russia exists in its modern form today!

One blogger mentions the British victory at El Alamein. I once spent time with a former German soldier named Henning von Holtzendorf who was at El Alamein. Prior to the final loss the underarmed Rommel wrecked havoc with the British. Von holtzendorf said Rommel once routed the british army with 200 Greek trucks.He said they got a panzer and ran it across the desert to see what kind of dust cloud it made. Rommel then confiscated 200 trucks owned by Greek traders and jammed upside down trees into the bumpers until they were able to recreate a panzer dust cloud. Von Holtendorf said they then charged the British with the Greek trucks,routed them and drove them miles into the desert.

Maros - if it hadn't been for the British shipping vital supplies to Russia, it is unlikely that Russia would have been able to develop the armament it did that defeated the Germans on the Easter front. The British paid a very heay price in ensuring Russia got as much as it could provide. You Russians won't accept this but Russia owes the British much. Just remember that Russia was in bed with Hitler. Stalin & Hitler had an agreement, an arrangement to split Europe. But then Hitler turned on Russia too. Frankly, I wish the West had left Russia to fight her own battles. Nothing but trouble from Russia has resulted ever since.

Ivan,  Russia is so hard to figure.  Gorby had you guys so close to being part of European family.  If you drop all the propaganda Europe is still the best place to live.  Russia would have done much better to join them.  But something went wrong.  All of your state resources were stolen and your government got taken over by a new bourgeoise.  Now you have a bunch of guys who run russia like a private club they created to keep themselves rich.  What happened?  Is it too late to put Russia back on a track that is run for common people instead of just robber barons?

You clearly see that the heli is firing its payload... The smoke comes from the missiles being fired not the engine. The same thing happens when Western made helicopters and airplanes fire their weapons. The difference is in combat vehicles like tanks, APC's and IFV's pour out smoke, much more than their Western "cousins"! ;)

why do all the RT pistures of airplanes have smoke coming out of them?  Is it so that Russian readers will recognize that it has an engine?  Can't you guys comprehend machines with clean, reliable engines?  Just imagine same thing but without trail of smoke.  That's what typical western airoplanes look like.  Pretty much like soviet stuff except that it doesn't break or smoke.  and it's lighter and faster.  maybe a little harder to spot on radar.  oh, yeah, right ... it doesn't blow up as easy from shoulder fired missiles.
