Building homeland bridges

As the World Congress of Compatriots Abroad began in St. Petersburg, the rights of Russians living beyond homeland borders topped the agenda. President Vladimir Putin opened the event.
It was as he did five years ago at the inaugural gathering. The two-day forum was being attended by more than 600 representatives of Russian communities from around the world.
