Bus smash kills ten in north-west Russia

At least ten people have died and seventeen others injured when a bus collided with a truck in the Leningrad Region in north-west Russia.
The accident happened when a truck loaded with scrap metal ran into a passenger bus early on Sunday in the Gatchina district 60 kilometres from St. Petersburg.
Both drivers and seven passengers died instantly.
An investigation into the accident is being carried out. According to preliminary reports, the truck’s front tyre burst causing it to swerve into the opposite lane.
