March 17, 2012 04:04

With a growing number of ‘smart gadgets,’ spying on homes may start to become much easier. In fact, CIA Chief David Petraeus admitted that Americans were effectively bugging themselves and making it easy for spy agencies to peek in on their lives.

Yes, your so correct in saying that it sounds too far fetched to be true....although I never thought I would see the day that OUR VERY OWN PRESIDENT seems to think that the people work for him, rather than him working FOR THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Good God. NOWHERE does he say the CIA will spy on Americans. He is discussing the technology (in an OPEN forum!)  Believe me people, having worked for US intelligence, we have no need or plans on watching you eat breakfast or slumped on your couch. You just aren't that interesting, and we have more important things to do.

Check out Rockford Files Season 4, Episode 21 “The House On Willis Avenue”. JACK STAR: Since the early 1950’s, tens of thousands of computers have gone into service in America. What bothers Representative Gallagher and Sen. Edward V. Long (Dem., Mo.), whose Subcommittee on Administrative Practice and Procedure has also been looking into the matter, is that the centers are emerging without any regulation or controls. By the end of the year, all 50 states and Canada will be connected to the FBI computers in Washington, which currently store data on 20,367 wanted persons; 152,792 stolen, missing and recovered guns; 168,006 stolen vehicles; 88,022 stolen articles bearing identifying numbers; and 45,306 license plates. Our Social Security Number has become the key in the registering of these billions of transactions. I’m concerned about Fascism.

jamaica joe you are right this has been going on for a very long time. remember the old dial phones with the analogue bell with inductor this was used in the same way to pick up sounds from the house. I have given up bothering about it as unless you start a revolution its only going to get worse I personally couldnt care less they can tap my phone to "doomsday" and it wont bother me but what you say on RT s site is monitored but still doesnt bother me.I realise that a lot of people round the world are upset at the usa being able to intersect all electronic comunication  but it is just the use of more modern means of keeping a "tab" on you.it was bound to happen the usa is only a few steps ahead of other governments.the only thing the people of the world can do is either=start a revolution or vote in people who you think are more democratic. its the first one the bothers world governments.so get ready for your door being "burst in" at 3AM in the morning

This is nothing new, all the desk top computers which where donated by the US government and US NGOs to various Iraqi government departments and institutions  between 2004 – 2007 were later on found to be all bugged with special chip allowing all the information from the PC’s to be relayed back to the US!

Whon can be afraid being spyed on?
The moment you get the social number your done!
they've known you before you even blink!
TV is nothing with mac address and IP number easy to
know what one is doing...so is not scary yet!
now each machine needs a memory to fonction so yes
it is possible for them to even know how many load and soap you uses for your laundry!

had my own encounter with 1984 here in Switzerland.. here everybody who wants to buy a SIM-card for a cell-fone, has to identify himself with a ID-card or similar.. yesterday I tried to buy a cell fone without SIM-card included from a large electronics retailer and the cashier girl sent me back, for "registering the fone", for having "warranty validated"... I left the shop without fone..
