I don't know what Cameron's on but it must be mind blowing if he thinks current policy is working.Unless the goal is to lower prices and increase quality and market share. The UK has gone downhill every year since they closed down their heroin program. Now half of Europe has copied it and the UK has nothing.Drugs are everywhere. The law only creates criminal enterprise and a black market that sends billions out of the country every year.Money that could be supporting those social programs that are being cut every day.

[quote name='R' time='11.12.2013 04:27']This is not a war on drugs, it is a war on the people, as if we do not have enough to pay for, a trillion cops, judges, prisons, spying satellites, drones, hand outs to middle east countries, wars & govt. pensions, meanwhile the people that pay for these bills eat cat food.
Only in America! The american dream is alive!

For the so called "elite" maybe but in the US things are bad for many people. War against drugs, terrorism and any other stupid thing they makeup doesn't make sense. Because pay the right government person and you can get whatever you want anyways!!

It is unlikely that the UK & US will ever reform drug policies, these countries, love illegal drugs and gang related violence, not only do they get to keep the illegal money they confiscate, they get to re-sell the drugs i.e. ( iran contra affair) but this also allows them to defend their spying and massive police forces destroying freedoms and jailing citizens for simple drug possession, filling the courts and prisons. just think how much tax dollars this system requires. It is a true insult that the tax payer fits the bill to have their freedoms taken away by ridiculous laws, while gang shootings are on the rise.
