Closed-door hearings on bloody terrorist act

Fifty-nine people are facing trial in connection with a terrorist attack on the city of Nalchik in 2005. Preliminary hearings are due to be held behind closed doors. More than 2,000 witnesses will testify.
On October 13, 2005, more than 100 terrorists invaded the city of Nalchik.
In two days of fierce combat with federal forces 142 people were killed.
