Cop killed in Chechnya grenade attack

Unidentified attackers have killed a policeman and injured two others as a result of an ambush in the centre of Chechnya’s capital city Grozny.

There are reports a serviceman has been killed and another ten wounded in a terrorist attack in Russia's southern Republic of Chechnya. The incident took place in the town of Vedeno, where Russian Interior Ministry troops have been stationed.
Police have discovered a powerful pipe bomb during a raid on a house in the Russian republic of Dagestan. The device had the explosive power of up to 15 kilograms of TNT.
At least five police officers have reportedly been killed and nine others injured during a gun fight with militants in Russia's republic of Dagestan. Three police cars were attacked 40 kilometres southwest of the republic's capital Mahachkala.
The bodies of six young women have been found in Chechnya. They had all been shot in the head, apparently in cold-blood, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.
