Countdown to Superjet 100 test flights

A new Russian short-distance regional plane, the Superjet 100, has made its first test run on the tarmac in the town of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in Russia’s Far East. The crew said the jet performed smoothly and can compete well with the Airbus and Boeing vers
During the test run, the Sukhoi plane reached a ground speed of 162 kilometres per hour.
The certification testing is expected to start soon.
The Sukhoi SuperJet 100 is seen as the only commercial viable Russian passenger plane currently being made.
