The death penalty is a sensitive issue. I do not agree that anybody or any country should impose their moral standards on any country that differs from them. It does not imply that any country that has the death penalty are less civilize than those who do not have the death penalty. Every country have different unique problems and solutions. I have seen people are not so generous with their forgiveness when they have their love ones destroyed by these criminals. If you do the crime you have to pay it to the society you belong to.

Ultimately it's a matter for Russians to decide. As with anything run by humans, errors occur. Until a fool-proof method is found that removes mistake s in sentencing, then it's unsound. It's one thing to tell a researcher you're in favour, but quite another result could be obtained if you introduce the element of doubt. If it deterred then murder would be rare but it isn't. And like many other aspects of crime, the poorly educated, minority communities and drug and alcohol dependent citizens are usually over represented in conviction rates. It's just another method the 'system' deploys to hold sway over the marginalised. Are we any safer because the death penalty exists? I doubt it.    ;

Russia does not need to fall into these politcal rhetoric traps the moratorium on the death penality is fine, as it isalready law to deal lethalyly with thoise who present the danger to life lim or eyesight. As soon as Russia fall into that political trap of reinstituing the death penality unecessarily, the propaganda will be in full swing pointing out al sorts of questionable erroneus mumbe jumble about its legal system. By far Russia has the moral advantage with the current stance of its death penalty

The death penalty should be reinstated in Russia, regardless of the sanctimonious hot air of the dishonest and stupid EU leaders; and used especially against terrorism and treason offences. This would be in line with the wishes of the majority of Russian people, and strengthen the country.
