Did Berezovsky really serve court order to Abramovich?

According to the Russian paper Vedomosti, Roman Abramovich's spokesman, John Mann, says Russian self-exiled billionaire Boris Berezovsky could not have served the Chelsea Club owner with a court summons, as he has been out of town since Wednesday.
