Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko has defended his IBF heavyweight crown by defeating Hasim Rahman in the seventh round in Germany’s SAP Arena.

The victory means Klitschko remains unbeaten in four years.

The 32-year-old totally controlled the fight. He knocked down the American challenger in the 6th round with successive left hooks. After a further left-right-left combination against in the next round, the referee had seen enough and stepped in to end the contest.

Rahman didn't appear too upset by the defeat.

The technical knockout was Klitschko’s sixth defence of the IBF belt. His record now stands at 52 wins and three losses, with 46 knock-outs.
