Drunken horseplay wakes up Kazan

Residents of the Russian city of Kazan had a sleepless night when they were tormented by frantic neighing from a neighbour’s balcony. The horse had been tethered there by the owner of the apartment.
Earlier in the day the man had been visiting relatives in an outlying village and returned on horseback.
When he arrived home he tried to find a place to keep the horse safe, and had the bright idea of putting it in the balcony.
The man eventually freed the horse in the early morning as grumpy neighbours surrounded the house.
His wife said he had been drinking.
