Libyan democracy: Regional division, bloodshed mar first post-Gaddafi poll
July 07, 2012 08:42
Libyans have voted in the country’s first elections since ousting Muammar Gaddafi. However, reports of pro-autonomy activists attacking ballots and continued unrest by militia groups could see Libya’s democratic dreams go up in smoke.

In reply to Richard (unregistered: Richard (if that is your real name) only about 5% of all Libyans of voting age and foreign citizens of Libyan origin who took part or supported the US engineered pseudo-revolution were eligible to vote (about 64 tribes in all). The rest including the major tribes like the Warfalla (1.3 million population) and the remaining 520 main tribes in all (2,000 if you consider splinter tribes and offshoots of main tribes) did not take part in the vote. To add insult to injury, the major tribes in Benghazi which started this so called "revolution" boycotted the vote. In other words this so called Democratic election was a sham because only a fraction of the 6 million Libyan population took part in it and many of those who voted were not even Libyan citizens! Therefore, the so called democratically elected government is nothing more than a US engineered tyranny imposed on the Libyan people by brute US/NATO force in the guise of a democratically elected government to give an appearance of legitimacy to a de-facto tyranny.

In the New York City newspapers they are hailing this as "Their first truly free democratic elections", these are the newspapers that are famous for pushing yeah, Israeli's propaganda, so I know there is something "FISHY" going on with this election. If the Americans are praising it, it's a dirty deal that's setup to benefit them and Israel.
If elections are so bad then why was there such a huge turnout and why did the libyans celebrate like it was national holiday? They're acting like it is christmas, birthday, and wedding all wrapped up into one. Why do almost all of the Libyans get so excited over a zionist controlled sham election?
Excellent decription by "submissive democracy" of the sham elections being held in Libya, he /she decribes the election farce as , Fedual Democracy. Really excellent decription, and exactly the king of sham democracy the Zionist American ,NATO alliance of warmongers and criminals can easily control.
It is a total nonsense to hold elections in any country when armed conflict is widespread, and law and order is under the control of Zionist American NATO Terrorist gangs , who along with their Zionist masters committed horrendous war crimes aganist the Libyan people and laid to waste the jewel in the crown of Africa.
Holding the elections now was no mistake, that was exactly how the Zionist in Washington , London, wanted it to be , as tribal , fedual, religious sects , which were not a issue under C. Gaddfi , are now rife all over Libya. It typical Zionist American Impearlist blueprint, conquer, divide , then control.
Anyone tune into any of the Zionist controlled media reports on the election?. The Zionist controlled BBC, SKY NEWS, hailed the sham elections as free and fair, and justicfied the Zionist American , NATO bloodthirsty warmongering impearial alliance destruction of Libya and the laying in cold blood of their hughely popular leader C.Gaddfi. Not a mention of the widespread violence and imtiadation in the run up to the polls and on the day of the polls. The BBC showed careflly selected, close up shots, images of several Libyan women embracing , who they claimed were celebrating voteing for the first time, and other carefully selected images of people in celebration mood.
If Russia, China, Iran , ever abandon the people of Syria , then their country will also suffer the horrendous destruction and hundreds of thousands of deaths , at the hands of the criminal Zionist alliance which now control most of the western nations. Russia , CHINA, IRAN , must never allow such a horror to be inflicted on the people of Syria.
the form of democracy which western powers want for the rest of the world is to always be compliant to their demands. Feudal democracy. They keep nations divided by always playing host to oppositions and rebel groups. They can choose to stop this charade, but they are not.
Libya has a democratic election all ways since 19's when Mouamar Ghadafi found the Jamahrya system of governance. Read the green book. That is the same autonomy Libyans in large are asking today. Western style democracy cannot provide. Democracy is not all about democracy.

The Libyans have the future in their hands. There is a very high turn out rate for the voting. Oh course you are going to have some factions trying to derail the system. Maybe they are secret Russian military going inside the city to create unrest. hahahahah If these smaller factions mess this up, it will be back to another dictator and failed govt. All Libyans need to respect the vote of the people. I just love the way RT pumps shooting footage in from the past arab uprising to make it look like this is ongoing now. We shall see how this unfolds.
------ -------------------- -------------------- -------------------- --------------If the US voting is rigged (look at Florida) how can you hope that western interests have not staged this, they have! Why would Libyans want less than what they have had?

The Libyan electoral process, like in Afghanistan will have the outward appearances of democracy. It is a facade and farce. Anti-NATO elements barred from participation and a choice between bad and worse than bad. Outside interference (intelligence services, NATO NGO's) will be major in order to determine the outcome. To call this democratic is ridiculous. The west will balkanize and conquer the resources...the people will not receive the support they did under the former conditions of Jamahiriya. On another topic..We now recognize the political weakness of Gorbachev to believe that the empire would become friendly. The long term goal of the empire was to dominate the USSR, to dismantle it economically and has come a long way in this....the de-industrialization process ( reversal of many 5 yr. plans) has been accomplished...now Russia et al are simply sources of natural resources like so many third world countries.

I can only speak for myself but in my opinion Russia has been nieve. Gorbachev and Reagan thought peace would follow their actions. Russia had reputation to live down, justified or not. They've bent over backwards and made some bad mistakes. The way they handled the Libyian takeover by the US, NATO and mossad is one of them. They're a little wiser in the planned Syrian takeover.

DEMOCRACY: James Madison, one of America's founders: "Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have been incompatable with personal security or rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths..."Ben Franklin..."A democracy is two wolves and s sheep voting on what's for lunch". Karl Marx " We must WIN the battle for democracy"Democracy frees man from moral restraint and allows the one's with the majority of power to determine what moral is. Simply put, anything can be justified in democracy. The people pushing democracy want to play god and get God out of the way. Look at how democracy is being practiced in Libya, and will be in Syria if they have their way. America was founded as a Constitutional Republic. There is NO reference to democracy ifnAmerica's founding documents, other than those I just mentioned. Hitler said he deals with 90% of the people with emotion and 10% with reason. Reasoning leads to acting reasonably, not react emotionally. The people pushing democracy want eveybody in the emotional box, blind to the reality of what's going on. They want more than a vassal state. They want people to respond to their wishes like Pavlov's dog.
None of those who were in bombing campaign for freedom in Libya are interested in stable and independent Libya. Civil war and country under control of warlords is a much better option. That's their usual practice in Africa.
