If US relations with Iran thawed and we actually cooperated with Iran against Al Qaeda, those scummy Arabs would be in for it. This is one reason why the Iranian president has to go and the US has to make some positive moves, to start the ball rolling. However, I doubt the ability and intelligence of the US gov't to figure this out.
I'm confused here. The headline says Al Qaeda is in league with the US against Iran. But the bulk of the story talks about how the terrorist organization is claiming Iran supports the US. Clearly the US and Al Qaeda are enemies. Realistically, the US and Iran are countries with very divergent interests but at least there are some, though few indications that the beginnings of dialogue may begin. Is this where this wildly overblown perception comes from? Just because two different branches of Islam are enemies, doesn't mean that both may be adversaries of the United States to differing degrees.
