Norway is the runaway winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Violinist and singer Alexander Rybak triumphed with "Fairytale" after a spectacular show in Moscow. Iceland came second with Azerbaijan in third place.

Well done Norway! It was an excellent performance. Also well done to every one else! For me the contest was one of the best, with all countries making a strong effort, giving us all a bit of entertainment. This is good for everyone in europe, to feel all the different cultures meeting in common happiness, thanks to everyone involved!

Congratulations Moscow for hosting the best Eurovision contest for many, many years. The songs were also of high standard and this gives hope for the future of the contest.
