Russian police on its professional holiday
A day to celebrate the work of the police is taking place across Russia on Saturday. The day also marks the ninetieth anniversary of its inception.
Festivities will be held throughout the country with the main event, a concert, to be held at the Kremlin.
Police officers will also commemorate their collegues who have fallen in the line of duty.
More than 350 were killed in 2007 alone.
The day will also see the law enforcement officers receive new state-of -the-art uniforms.
