Father of snatched girl desperate to return her

The father of a girl kidnapped in France on March 20 says he’s ready to refuse filing a case against his former Russian wife, Irina Belenkaya, if she returns their daughter to him soon.

It is to early to ask a three years old little girl with whom she wants to live but it seems to me that just by looking at the father on TV and to see how the french media treat that event that her place is with her mother. That young lady was certainly one of the victims of western propaganda about democracy, occidental way of life and all that goes with it. I know Russia; I have been a guest eleven times in the city of Orenburg. I have meet many lovely young ladies and for the past 10 years, I have the same girl-friend. At 70, we do not react as we do at 20 or 30. I never suggested to anyone to come live in France. Beside, if both administrations were not so complicated, I could be the one to come live in Russia. I have known several Russian ladies who have made that same mistake. When there are no children involved; it is easy to solve a bad marriage; but for the sake of bi-national youngsters, Russia and France should harmonize their laws. Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin
