Fighter jet crashes in Siberia

A Mig-29 combat aircraft has crashed in the Chita region of eastern Siberia. The pilot, who ejected from the falling fighter, was taken to hospital.

Police have arrested a man who reportedly threatened to blow up a passenger plane en route to Moscow from the southern Russian city of Sochi. The plane, a Sky Express Boeing 737 with 130 people onboard, has now arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.
Russia's Air Force Chief has grounded all its MIG-29 fighter jets following a crash near the city of Chita in Siberia.
