The European Union has rejected a 190 billion euro bailout for Central and Eastern European members in deep economic crises. Now the prospects for Eastern Europe are gloomy at best.

RT writes, "The Baltic States will find it hardest to recover, with their hopes for help from their western neighbours fading." Everyone, including Russia, will find it hard to recover. However, on the basis of my reading of Estonian press and media, and of general Western media about Estonia, the above quote from RT seem to me to represent Moscow's wishful thinking more than realities on the ground.
