Five die in light-plane crash near Moscow

All five people aboard a light aircraft have been killed in a crash in the Moscow region The crash occurred shortly after take-off. Engine failure is thought to have caused the accident.
The plane is reported to have hit power cables and burst into flames as the pilots were trying to make an emergency landing. The two pilots, the aircraft’s owner and two aerial photographers on board were killed.
Yury Medvedev from the Emergency Ministry said that when firefighters arrived at the crash site the plane was on fire.
“It took them less than a minute to extinguish the blaze, we’ve recovered the five bodies – there was no chance of saving anyone”.
An investigation has been launched into the accident.
