With the British team advancing in the Euro 2012 football cup, London pubs are filled to the brim every game night. When the sport-drinking fun is over, “booze buses” are there to collect enthusiastic supporters from the streets.

So their strategy to discourage alchohol abuse is to give the most drunk individuals an alternative to expensive taxi fares...it's because of thinking like that Britain's a bit of a joke on the world stage these days.

Well at least they're in their own country getting drunk or whatever. When England entered any European or international soccer event the game was secondary to the pre and post match fighting. There doesn't appear as much of that today, or it isn't reported.  Better not speak too soon!
