If Ukraine thinks it will do good by demanding the release of  their citizens and using the tone of threatening to use force, then what libya needs to do is EXECUTE the 20 "technicians" and send them in body bags. End of story Ukraine keeps the dam plane for conpensation. The End

So were bargaining 20 civilians lives over a stupid aeroplane?

Gi ve them the damn plane, get the civilians then blow the plane up infront of their eyes.
It is not acceptable to bully other countries and threaten to execute their citizens on false grounds.

Ha ving a stolen aircraft paid for with the blood of innocent civilians is nothing you will gain "respect" with.

And by the way I don't know why people said this is a case with Ukraine-Russia, it's exactly the opposite, Russia always takes the aggressive stance about it's citizens in danger abroad. Like that time when Pirates captured European Ships remember? The West reaction was mediocore and slow, while Russia sent a whole fleet to rescue their ship right away in anger.

WW!!! Resolve this issue! This is an act of war!! A fail on resolving this or cooperation with Ukraine on this issue will have significant effects on our stance towards the surrounding countries. I will be really, really, surprised though if Russia doesn't take the same stance as Ukraine on this Aeolos, it would be the uttermost betrayal from Russia.

WOW. The country was in the middle of a blody war. NATO was bombing the country and yet these so called "technicians" supposed to be going there to do some work. Right!!! People from all over the world were leaving the country to be safe. They went to Iibya to kill Libyan people for Gaddafi's money. They deserve to die as they are simply the lowest of the low.

If these were Israeli technicians Israel would in such case send specops and have the prison guards massacred, half of Tripoli bombed and all hostages freed safely.

But that is Israel. This is Ukraine, which along with Russia protects its citizens only when politics say that doing so is beneficial.

Ukraine should put their foot down and deal with these kidnappers. Fly in some soldiers and free them forcebly. That's the best way to send a message to pirates and criminals. Ukraine has enough power to do so, and may even get the support of many Western nations.

Your wrong, Ukraine will not get any support from EU or even Russia unless it bends it's knee to Russia. Much of this is politics... Ukraine does not have political will or financial backing, it is in crisis for now.

Wow, executing technicians for doing their job, is this what the Arab world is about? It's been a long time since "midevil dark ages", yet many places in middle east/north africa pass savage laws and act as animals.  I'm not saying this to start arguements,  there are diffrent people everywhere yet these countries have not seen evolutionary progress for over a century.

Savages. I hope I live long enough to see the day that the NTC experiences the consequences of its savagery and their co-conspirators of the West and NATO are held accountable for what they have done in Libya.

The LIBYAN JAMAHIRIYA...Gaddafi equals one and the same. He was the state and the state was he. A Dictatorship means that the Dictator is the government. Don't try putting lipstick on a horse and call it something else.

Quote: "It was just one of many items among the fabled pool of Gaddafi’s cars, pleasure boats and aircraft." THIS IS UTTERLY FALSE. THE PLANE BELONGED TO THE LIBYAN JAMAHIRIYA (People's Government) not to Gaddafi and all senior Jamahariya governemnt officials and delegations travelled in it. I challenge RT to produce documents proving possession of this plane or any other luxury vehicle by Gaddafi. Of course Gaddafi had a modest tent where he used to llive with his wife. He had no palace or luxury cars let alone aircraft. That is something for US presidents and Arab tyrants. I advise RT to check things well before divulging false news and gossip like this otherwisse they will lose all of my and many other's respect and credibility. From when has RT become a tabloid?!
