The 2007 Nobel Prize in medicine has been awarded to two Americans and one Briton. American scientists Mario R. Capecchi and Oliver Smithies, as well as Sir Martin J. Evans from the UK, shared $US 1,5 MLN prize for their contribution to genetic engineerin
The scientists conducted experiments on the stem cells of mice.
They have been investigating a cure for diseases like cystic fibrosis, cancer and high blood pressure.
