professorpinkis: Has anyone else noticed how nations which have an Orthodox Christian identity have and continue to be the ones with the highest rates of corruption in the world?

Maybe that might have something to do with monies ending up to bottomless black hole?

All the stereotypes that have shaped the European media for Greece is the Greek tale ... .. working hard over the European average ... have one of the smallest states in number of employees to E. Union which must surely be better organized and already gone too better this issue .... The Greece than what is said is a very rich country. Who has the money anyway? Let's look at some examples: Over the past 12 years the GDP has grown by 60%. Having our own - the workers - income has not increased at all, who went OLOS SUCH WEALTH? 30,000 Greek families have private banking departments in banks around € 50 billion and 40 billion other Greek citizens have deposited abroad. PUBLIC EMPLOYEES WILL PROBABLY IS! Only publicly traded companies had profit: € 11.8 billion in 2009, 10 billion in 2008 and 11.3 billion in 2007. The National Bank for the past five years had a profit 6.3 billion €. In 2009 PPC 1.1 billion made a profit while providing a budget of 531 million €. Greek firms (estimated 4,000) have invested nearly € 20 billion abroad of which 16 billion in the Balkans. In the four years 2004 - 2008 blockaded over € 9 billion to about 50,000 enterprises (5.1 billion from the reduction in profits tax rate from 35% to 25%, and 3.5 billion by closing two settings unaudited periods). There are 10,000 offshore (offshore) companies of Greek interests move around € 500 billion and the government loses each year from 6 billion in taxes. Each year, consumers and businesses pay but not receive pay about 6 to 6.5 billion € of VAT. The contribution evasion reaches € 8 billion annually. Over 5,000 companies have € 31 billion in government. The problem of debt in Greece is the same as Have all the capitalist countries see here http://www.you tube.com/watch?v=AG0 zL1ZIw08

The problems in Greece were created by corrupt Greek politicians that were in the payroll of big EU mainly German business and by a bunch of  politicians here that only care about how they were going to get reelected then on the long term strategic interest of there country,... The Greek PM said on TV a few days ago:I call upon everyone in Greece and abroad, and especially in the EU, to leave Greece alone to do its job in peace,..its not going to be easy,..and all those speculations around Greece makes it extremely hard,
; As for those bozos that sit there in there foggy infected countries talking trash about Greece,  i will say what Putin said once: they are talking to the ear of a dead donkey......

It has hardly been a secret for a while that the economic and financial system set up post WWII has hit its limitation back in the seventies.  But then,  Cold War subsided, and the system was salvaged by financial instruments played skillfully all around the world through World Bank, IMF and their European equivalents.  So the system of "economic growth" went into overdrive.  The system's "growth" was always based on unsustainable model.  One cannot have a growth, it such a growth is based solely on leveraging one's power to use other people's land, markets, resources and products.  Africa, South America, Middle East, Asia and then central and Eastern Europe, and on it went.  Greece was well on its own, and has been ruined by joining EU.  Look at the practices of other victims.  In Serbia, currency is held artificially high to allow EU goods to be imported and sold there;  inflation is high, fixed incomes are not keeping up.  Add to that unemployment, fire sale of every asset, and IMF-mandated cuts in health, education and social services.  All that, so that State can spend more on EU goods, prop up EU banks, and service IMF loans. The country that could feed Europe, is importing food. This system now has no virgin land to expend into.  And is in a downward spiral;  saved will be those who produce anything.  And those that are smart enough to take Argentine path:  default on loans that were given solely for the purpose to provide market for EU goods. These loans have therefore already been paid off.  Let nobody tell you otherwise.

Even though Greece leaves from the club of euro, his financial problems are not going away.   He needs to reform the country step by step very slowly.   Otherwise, Greece can become totally failed state in the Europe.

Has anyone else noticed how Nations which have an Orthodox Christian identity have and continue to be criticized, subverted or otherwise  weakened, even attacked by the west?  Yugoslavia, Serbia, Russia, Greece, Belorus, Ukraine, etc.  And then in recent decades, added to that have been Muslim Nations.  Any ideas?

Greece made a mistake by ever joining the EU.  Certain member states of the EU are parasitites sucking the life out of certain others then they say it's their fault, they should be doing more.  You know which one's I mean.  Join the EU and your citizens suffer while EU internationalist&nbs p;parasites suck the financial life out of you.  Screw that.
