01.05.2013 13:35

The UN human rights office has condemned force-feeding hunger strikers at Guantanamo Bay, calling it ‘torture’ and a breach of international law. At least 21 inmates out of the 100 officially on strike are being force-fed through nasal tubes.

Were we in theyr prison we'd b tortured and beheaded on video, w/o doctors or food. They complain?

Terrorists have no rights, morals, decency, or respect for life of others. Y expect it from others?

Anonymous user 22.05.2013 15:10

If theyve been striking for 100 days, I would assume theyd need food by now as allowed by med review

UN call it torture yet letting the Israel get away with using hunger as a form of controlling the Palestinians is not?

UN are worthless just like the previous bc the have b4.

Time for a new organization one that is not biased.

Oh wait, is this the same UN that voted against the invasion of Iraq yet half their members took part on it.

yep, it is. UN has no power.
they are like a fat kid at a candy store.

choose already and stand by it.

And letting them starve to death would be considered torture too. You can't have it both ways.

Anonymous user 05.05.2013 22:26

I actually agree with the UN here. This is a breach of basic human rights...not that we have any..

What a load of rubbish. There is no torture nor abuse in Guantanamo and hunger strikes are typical deceit and duplicity by people of that ilk. The media is making it all up because it is their way of making a living, such as misrepresenting the Arab occupation of Israel. Tea and sympathy is what is actually going on in Guantanamo.

There is a terrible onus upon citizens in a democracy that is little considered. It is false to make a moral distintion, in a democracy, between the people and their chosen government.

So all such evils, eg the tortures now being committed in our name, cannot be handed over to a third party; there is none. We choose the gov. and pay it, and if it makes evil decisions on our behalf, that's all in the bill.

The upshot, or downshot, is that an attack on Americans is an attack on our government in a way that is not true in tyranies.

I f that's too hard; perhaps better to realize we are a plutocracy, and act by that.

Anonymous user 03.05.2013 03:51

How we treat these prisoners now is a good indicator of how Americans will be treated in the future.

Anonymous user 03.05.2013 03:06

this shat is inhumane. they want to die and call attention, but we abuse them further with tubes
