Alex you are insane if you think that RT and Press TV has unbiased coverage.

The y are both tools of their respective governments.

That is how they are designed.

It seems Jonny is upset and has gone off the rail. The news was about Aljazeera and its One sided, Biased agenda in places like Syria and Libya and why many of their respectable staffs have resigned over the dictatorial treatments to massage the news in favor of US and Zion entity. RT and others such as Press TV have a broad and unbiased coverage of the Truth. Grow Up.

How about "RT"??? Is it independent news agency? Isn't it under some political power? I always find one sided news witten by some stupid stereotyped person. RT is a big agency representing morden russians. I mean why this 21st century russian people has to be informed against west? Why anti-west?????  C'mon .... this is 21st century be smart and write the truth. And one more thing, judge urself before judging others....

Listen folks, plagurism in the media is rife, most don't have their own international people anymore, they rely and use a few, even in newspapers they plagurise , copy and paste is the order of the day.

And it's precisely the reason why I read RT... because it's the news service that we in the West should be receiving but our pro war, pro climate change, cheer leading Western media would have nothing of it. I can also see a time when the NWO is defeated, the existing Western 'friendly' media agencies will have their licenses revoked.

Pot-kettle?  Um, RT, you really have a right to talk about independent journalism and not slanting the news?  Even Reporters Without Borders has criticized RT (or should we call it more correctly "USA, EU, France, and the UK Suck Today" since you really have just about zilch about Russia on it) as being nothing but a pro-Kremlin propaganda outlet, run by government agency RIA-Novosti.  Talk about reporters leaving?  How about William Dunbar, the RT reporter in Georgia who showed integrity in the 2008 war by quitting when he was ordered not to report on Russian airstrikes on Gori, or his predecessor who was fired when she was ordered to concoct only negative stories about Georgia?  Given that Syria has largely run a good portion of Lebanon for decades, it could well be that these reporters in Beirut have a vested interest in not saying anything negative about Bashar the Great.  Personally, I switch to RT for the entertainment value and then to AJ to get a rather balanced perspective.

When governments own networks they do so to serve policy objectives.

T his is especially true when they broadcast in a non native language.

Rem ember Tokyo Rose during World War II!

Do not create a false of logical connections. What's the difference what form of ownership? In my view, level of lies in corporate American media is not less than in government-funded U.S.("Voice of America", etc.). No there is direct link between form of ownership and "independence", between form of ownership and the level of "truth." It is necessary to consider each case separately. Well when you have a choice. And each person can choose independently. Any monopoly - a temptation for abuse. If you're see for object on the one hand, it is impossible to discern what is the other side of the object. The truth is not available to those who do not have full information about the object.

American Media isn't owned by government but like you said corporations.  I am not saying trust them on face value but it's not like they are part of a foreign government's foreign strategy effort.

If you want to mistrust American corporate media fine, but that doesn't make purposely designed propanganda as part of a psy ops program automatically correct.

Looks like Russia wrote in #16
No longer leader of Free World considering a song might land some girls in jail for 7 years.  Sounds like Communism with a bit of Stalin still alive and well in Putins Russia. so.. you saying it ok for some almost naked girls performing profanities in a cathedral, a religious center of worship, without permission from the owner of the cathedral? that's just like when someone barge into your house and start smashing things on sight. oh please enlighten me how it should be done great one... what do you expect?

So called Truth said "..are part of some war against the usa which may be true".

Yep, and any American who would help them in this effort would make themselves a traitor to America. Why would any patriotic American do that?
