Hostages taken at French bank

Two armed robbers are holding several people hostage at a bank in a southern suburb of Paris. According to early reports, there are six hostages, but local authorities are yet to confirm it.

Police say the hold-up took place at a Credit Lyonnais bank in the suburb of Rungis.

Television networks report that the alert was raised by an employee who managed to escape from the bank.

Two hostages have reportedly been released by armed men who have stormed a bank, south of Paris. Earlier, one of the hostages managed to escape from the bank and alerted police.
