Aleksey Kokorin, the Head of the Climate Change Programme at the World Wildlife Fund in Russia, discussed Russia's attitude to climate problems.
He noted that surely Russia has to reduce green gas emissions, noting that Russia has already agreed to cut them by half by the middle of the century. “But the officials are still thinking about climate as of something not here and now, but of some problem which we'll face in the distant future. This way of thinking must be changed,” he emphasised.
