All the devastation that took place in Serbia, Libya, Iraq. so on. and what is happening now in Syria and Iran, is an information war that is funded primarily Arab countries (Qatar, Saudi Arabia) and the USA (with Britain and France)! All this is done to give people confidence in their crazy nonsense! Because they killed many innocent people! In this case all manage to blame Russia and China and other countries that support the life of civilians and their Syrian President Assad.

Assad honest, decent man who is fighting for his life of his people (the people support him and love), and while the western countries (USA, UK, Qatar, etc.) make him a murderer and calling him to withdraw from the government. Assad should help to stay in power and save the country, if not financially at least on the information front!

I doubt that Iran would be drawn directly into the Syrian mess. The western powers would relish the prospect of announcing Iran's participation.  Imagine the headlines: 'Iran propping-up Assad'. 'Rogue state Iran sends forces to Syria'. 'Iran stoking the fires inSyria'. I think the Iranians understand the game being played, much more than they're given credit for. This is the diplomatic equivalent of  giving America the finger.

The military exercises with the Syrian forces whether scheduled far ahead or recently decided, Iran is playing very clever counter-psychologica l move to the west; attack our warships there and see what will happen with yours in the Persian Gulf. Both sides are looking for pretext, the Americans and NATO do such exercises all the time all over - so is nothing unusual what Iran does but certainly walks on their “imperial” nerves. At the same time Iran projects self-confidence and strength.

Boy, this is really dumb.  Now Syria has just given all those who want to attack Iran, a reason to attack them, too.

I guess Newt was right when he said "Syria is an ally of Iran!"

That's too bad.  I initially thought it was possible to save Syria.  Not so sure anymore after this, though.

does russia not feel ashamed that the country sending warships to help syria is iran they are acting like a good friend would and in my book that means a lot does mr putin not realise that this is MAJOR turning point both in defence and prestige for russia/" chicken out" on this and russia should throw the towel in who wants to be friends of a country that wont support them? and you know that russia will end up surrounded by wall to wall missiles aimed at russia this time only a short distance (in missile terms) from their cities and strategic millitary bases all the decent people in this world are watching you if you flunk this that will be the end of human decency all over the world and america will run it A NIGHTMARE! GOD help us all

So if NATO deploys warships it's a message of impending comfl ict, but if Iran does this it's a 'message of peace'? Pity the 'Arab Spring' never dawned on them. After all, Russia Yesterday reports how the vast majority of the populous supports the programme. Oddly remiscent of the communist dictatorships who claimed 90%+ approval at 'elections'.
