This is all well and good, and regardless of who *should* own the lands of Israel, the fact is that Israel controls it now and will in the future. So, blowing yourself up or throwing rocks at the problem isn't going to change anything, it hasn't for 50+ years. The fact is that there are plenty of Arab Muslims, Christians, & Jews living confortably inside Israel who are no different from these so-called "Palestinians".

To be sure, their is a cost to Israel to maintain the current situation, all the border guards and people in the military are being diverted from more productive enterprises. The cost to the Palestinians is higher as to protect itself, Israel has to control the flow of goods into the territories.

The Palestinians are the biggest obstacle to an agreement, neither the West Bank or Gaza governments are legal, their terms have expired and they haven't held new elections, something no legitimate government would ever do! As such they have no standing to represent the Palestinian people or make a deal, so why should Israel deal with them?

The US likes Israel isolated and dependent on it's military, it is a way to keep the Miulitary Industrial complex making profit. Israel itself has little reason to want a 2-state solution. It only makes sense if the Palestinains and Gazans agree to guarantee peace and prevent attacks against Isreali citizens, and recognize Israel. Until they are willing to do that, there is nothing to talk about!
