Ukraine is witnessing a surge in nationalism - and it's at the expense of the Jewish community's tragic history.

As long as the Ukrainians and the Baltic states and citizens keep trying to white wash their involvement with the Nazis and their part in the final solution, history will continue to repeat itself.

Sam you are absolutely correct, this is what is going to happen, unless it is stopped. The saddest thing of all, is that it is being funded by Germany again, not because Germany wants anything to do with it. It is absolutely dead against, and has no blame, but because its money is being taken by the EU and sent to these Nazis.

They may call themselves nationalists, but in reality that is a sham. They were were murderers. They were then and are now Christians who are the nationalists. The Christian community has never lived up to the fact that the perpetrators of the Holocaust were Christians, many religious, church attending Christians, who did the gassing, the torturing, the raping, the medical experiments, ran the slave labor camps, and all the rest. Politically they have all said the correct discourse; but there has been no repentance on the part of the Christian community. The Pope states in his meeting with Jewish representatives that the “Holocaust was a crime against G_d”. It was not a crime against G_d, it was a crime perpetrated against the Jews by Christians. To say that it is a crime against G_D is like saying the Jews sinned because they do not accept Jesus as their savior none will be forgiven in the Christian sense therefore the holocaust was their fate. In other words it was the Jews fault that they were the primary subject of the Holocaust. However, the Christians involved will be “through Jesus” saved to enjoy salvation. Nonsense! No thinking rational person can accept that the vilest among us, by acceptance of Jesus can be destined for forgiveness and salvation. Nonsense intellectually and nonsense from a matter of faith. Is this what they are proud about? Scoundrals and murderers hide behind the cloak of nationalism. I believe that the the nationalists views the Holocaust as the result of some Pagan cult and refuses to recognize that the perpetrators were Christians, German, Poles, Ukrainian, Croats etc who, indoctrinated with the churches anti-Semitic. teachings, perpetrated crimes against humanity. Nationalists have always found a scapegoat to direct attention from them and their real intent. This cannot be allowed to happen again.

So what is Russia doing to bring to justice those that committed crimes against humanity under the communists? After all more citizens were killed by the communists than the NAZIs. Also Sam do you expect people that had most of their family members killed by communists to fight against the NAZIs and not the communists? My grandfather fought against the communists in the Russian revolution and in WWII and he did the right thing as did many of the Kuban Cossacks. You can't stand by and see your family slaughtered by a bunch of animals and not fight against it. And if Louis wants to assign group blame to genocide he can add the Jews to those that helped the communists in their mass murders.

Louis - there is no doubt Christans took part in the holocaust, to deny it, given the countries involved would be rediculous. However, we also must realise that christians didn't act on mass, as part of their christian faith. Their faith was incidental, to their evil beliefs and deeds, yes their whole christian belief system must have been overidden to commit such heinous acts. But it wasn't an organised christian crusade. It was a Nazi crusade. Therefore, we should be careful and responsible, and try not to create more polar groups and divisions. We need to be united against Nazism, and as you said, never let it happen again. To create a polar Jewish Christian position, in my view, is not correct, and does not help us stop the Nazi attrocities repeating themselves. Remember, in europe now there is economic strife and a huge immigrant population, this is resented by the racists, they are searching for a way to solve their 'problem'. Just look at the EU polls and how the nationalists and ultra right are appearing.

Sean - over 70 million were killed by the Nazis and other Axis powers, try to get the maths a little under control! Ans yes you can immagine people getting upset about seieng their family slaughtered, but this is the same in Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan...... by US Natoism. I don't support communism is any way, I hate it, but I also don't support selective reasoning either. In fact I hate it more! because it is more corrosive to human rights.

What the world needs to do is never allow Nazism and Stalinism take root ever again. Let Ukrainians be Ukrainians regardless if they are Christian, Jewish or of other religious denomination. Let Russians be Russians also. Let the people coexist without war, tyrrany and invading idealogies supported by German, Russian, Polsh, Baltic,Ukrainian, Jewish communist and/or nazi politicians and so-called scholars.

Count Cash July 05, 2009, 17:15 quote

Mike - your sentiments are absolutely correct I will be glad never to see the likes of Nazism, Starlinism, USAism or BrithishEmpireism again on this earth. We need as you say gauarntee peace for everyone, as independent nations.

Clytemnestra March 12, 2010, 10:52 quote

No matter how much the Ukrainians try to white wash their involvement in whitewashing their part, they will always look like rank amateurs in the whitewashing business compared to the way the Jews whitewash the antics of the Jewish Bolsheviks and their Ukraine Jewish confederates who implemented the HOLODOMOR. I know that addressing the redundant issue of Jewish hypocrisy is a waste of time, but it seems to me that a little less self absorption and a little more self-awareness would be the best way to prevent another Holocaust. It shouldn't be necessary to point out that you don't make friends and influence the people of the Ukraine and other Baltic states by trying to starve them to death. It ain't rocket science. So, if this is yet another ad infinitum attempt to extort reparations from yet another European country for the Jewish genocide, I strongly suggest you back away and quickly from that stupid idea. Because you are going to open up a door that swings both ways. By the precedent that has been set with Germany, the Ukraine and the people of the Baltic have ample grounds to sue the Jewish homeland of Israel over reparations for the Holodomor. Let's see how the Reparations Shoe fits on the other foot, for a change. So go ahead and try it. The Holocaust Industry is going to jump the shark on this one and give the whole fed-up world the excuse it is looking for to shut it down.

My father told me the following: In 1932-1933 9,000,000 Ukrainians were murdered by Stalin and the communist by starvation. The Communist and their Commissars (many of them jews) stood by while they buried our love ones (25,000 a day).No one tried to stop it. What little land they had was taken (collectivaction). Are we suppose to feel sorry for those responsible? When his baby sisters (my aunts) were dying no one seemed to care no one offered so much as a piece of bread. He was a good man! He loved his family worked like a dog and died a few years ago. He and many Ukrainians saw the Nazis as liberators. There is no one alive today(especially in the USA) who can sit in judgement of the Ukrainians peaseants of the 1930's and 40's. It's like the saying goes "what goes around comes around. I love you and miss you Petro!!! Skip
