In the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers have become the first side to push through to the finals. They defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series, repeating last year's feat.

Great, great and great LA. Lakers. I have followed this team since I was in Africa. I came to become fan of this great team when Magic played his rookie final game against the Philadephia Sixers in the 1982 and his tremendous block of Malone from the blind side. A fan was born. Since then I have become a fan for the team and not a player; but love the players that play for the team. I watch every game possible that Lakers plays and to an extend when Lakers is playing my family will not disturb the TV. My kids are Lakers fans; some close friends associate me with Lakers. I will get call when Lakers win and when Lakers looses. I get calls when Lakers is not playing well and when Lakers is doing well. Friends call me to analysis Lakers games. As a former sport athlete most friends get my option on sports. Being an Olympian and a coach is a plus too. Kobe and Lakers are wonderful. When Lakers selected Kobe in the 1996, it was one of the best choice the team management has made. Thank to Eddie Jones who recommended Kobe to the management team. Any one may doubt this team not me. Kobe is a great player and the best player presently. I watch his body language and his approach to his game and it tells that he loathe to loose. His concentration and approach to every game is exceptional, which transforms into a win. Kobe's leadership on the team is excellent, how he nowaday communicate with the other players and interact with them. With his leadership, his approach and work ethnic to game brings more audience to the game and make it best for people to watch him and the Lakers Team night in and night out. One of his excellent performance is what we saw in Denver and Lakers game six. Follow me and I will lead you was his body language in game six. What can I say about Kobe, this guy is the best player we have now and a brilliant player to watch now in the game of basketball. We stopped short last year and I know he does not want to stop short again this year. Our hope and prayers now is to lift the NBA Championship Trophy for 2009 and Kobe the finals MVP.
