The increasing visibility of NATO troops in Kosovo has provoked speculation that the Serbian province could declare independence imminently. Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci says the preparations are almost complete.
Speaking exclusively to Russia Today, Hajredin Kuci said:
“Kosovo is ready. We have already finished everything regarding the final status of Kosovo. We have full co-ordination with the main states, starting from Washington and the EU member states and including the states around us.”
The Deputy Prime Minister said Kosovo is in the final days of “some technical and administrative procedures for the full co-ordination”.
“I hope that in the next days, I am not sure when exactly, but we will proclaim the independent state of Kosovo,” Kuci concluded.
