I'm afraid you are quite wrong. Unlike Finns, Latvians didn't fight for their country at all, when the USSR occupied them in 1940. They just gave themself up, covards. Anyway, SS was not Wehrmacht. SS = Nazi.

Cilinskis is absolutely right; these men fought for their country, against Soviet tyranny, and deserve to be rembered and respected. They are just as much heros as the Russian soldier, or the German, or any others who were involved. In the final analysis, all soldiers fight for their country, their comrades and their people, not whatever evil regime happens to be in control.

Liberation my a.s.s! That's what you Russians call it!!!!! We call it, the opposite, we call it OCCUPATION! You Russians ocupated dozens of nations against their will, oppressed them, starved them, sent natives to Gulags and more!
For example, after the WW2, Russians raped hundreds of women in Berlin only.... PLUS countless others in other countries.

What is known as "liberation& ;amp;quo t; in your delusion, is known as genocide in our countries!

In WW2 no nation involved had their hands clean.

My Runes 19.03.2014 13:58

And one more thing, it is really disgusting to see how Russians today defend the actions of Stalin and the USSR....... It's actually unbeliavable!
US SR did not opress foreigners only, but he oppressed his own people as well, murdered millions of Christians, banned Christianity, promoted the abortion culture and you people defend this lunacy?
What are you? Satan's children?

You just forget a small detail: You lost the war. If you had won that war you wouldn't be so "fair enogh"!

Are you saying Germans are sinister and evil?

Johanson 19.03.2014 13:30

I say, let these men march. They fought against Communism and not against Russia. Just like NAZI Germany back then did not fight against todays Russia but against Communism. In the end both empires had false Ideologies.

Way more important is that todays German citizen support Russia. When we Germans think of WW2 then what comes to mind predominantly is that the English and Americans bombed our cities and killed millions of civilians and are still occupying our country, having nuclear weapons on our soil. They are the reason we are not sovereign. The baltic states are also not sovereign, they surrendered to Nato.

NS Germany committed unbelievable crimes, but we Germans are fair enough to admit that

Howling down NS Germany on the one hand and gloryfying murdering, raping and pillaging red sc_um on the other - That makes sense.

Aye, NS Germany committed unbelievable crimes, but we Germans are fair enough to admit that, in contrast to many sovjet apologists who still regard the red army as the saviours and benefactors of Europe.

Wha t did those occupants do especially to civilians in Poland, the Baltic states, Romania, Finland and then in Germany? Where was their Nürnberger process?
