Lebanon: Nahr-el-Bared camp still under siege

The Lebanese government says the country's army is determined to deal with Islamic militants entrenched in a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon. On Friday morning smoke could be seen rising above the camp.
The army deployed around 50 armored carriers and tanks there, bombarding it with artillery shells and gunfire.It continues a 13-day battle in the Nahr-el-Bared encampment between the Lebanese army and Fatah al-Islam fighters.Over 100 people have died including at least 20 civilians, while thousands have fled the area.Lebanon blames the Fatah-al-Islam group and on Wednesday arrested 20 members of the group on terrorism charges.
